Corporate HR Introduction

Corporate HR is relatively a new division at MTM. It was incepted in September 2019 with a vision to have strategic support related to human resources affairs extended to leadership team of MTM. Therefore, this strategic function primarily aims at providing in-house HR consulting and strategy to the business through maximized employees’ productivity. And, in order to be able to do so, Corporate has bifurcated its functions into three major specialized  areas; Talent Management, Compensation & Shared Services and Organizational Development. These sub-departments have their own full-fledged goals and dedicated teams. All these sub-functions report in to General Manager HR who is head of the division. Corporate HR’s functions and activities are strongly backed by advanced technological solutions developed by an in-house team of IT experts. It brings a lot of efficiency and effectiveness to Corporate HR’s table.

In addition, Corporate HR function has a key role to play in embedding corporate responsibility in all aspects of the business which it endeavors to achieve through various ways such as;

  • Ensuring corporate responsibility is part and parcel of HR’s strategy

  • Threading sustainability concerns through people management policies and practices

  • Developing management capability and promoting organizational learning in corporate responsibility

  • Ensuring alignment between the organization’s values, culture and business activity.

Beyond its own remit of people management practices, Corporate HR at MTM is placed to be able to gauge, understand and help change organizational culture, the critical aspect to corporate responsibility that is often summed up as how we do things around here.
